At BITSEC we respect your privacy and are committed to safeguarding your right to privacy and your personal data. This Privacy Notice aims at inform you about how we treat your personal data when you use our products and services.
This privacy notice does not apply to third-party websites, products, or services. BITSEC has no control on the treatment of your personal data by the third-party and will not accept any responsibility or liability for any processing of your personal data by the third parties. BITSEC Information Security and Privacy processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself.

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years of age. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent. How long we store personal data

BITSEC Information Security and Privacy only uses technical and functional cookies, and analytical cookies that do not infringe on your privacy. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and remember, for example, your preferences. You can also delete all information that was previously stored via your browser settings.
In addition, our site utilizes caching in order to facilitate a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site. All cache files are temporary, and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator.

Your rights as data subject

You also have the right to withdraw your consent for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by BITSEC Information Security and Privacy and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data that we have about you in a computer file to you or another organization named by you.
You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or request for withdrawal of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@bitsec.tech.
Although we collect personal data, this data is not always directly traceable to a data subject. For example, we will not be able to tell you which IP addresses are associated with you directly without additional information, such as an exact timestamp of your site visit. In order to fulfill your request correctly, it is your responsibility to inform us exactly which data you would like to see, correct, transfer or delete in order for the request to be completed correctly.
Before we can act upon such a request, further authentication also needs to take place to ensure we are being authorized to do so by the correct party. We do this by requesting you to share with us a copy of your ID with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond as soon as possible.
